Generative Fantasy Islands
TEDxZurich audience experience
Interaction: Attendees generated renderings of fantasy islands by entering simple prompts on their phones. An archipelago of all generated islands was rendered on the big screen with new generations flying in as they were being rendered.
Tech: We built a custom web app for the audience that streamlined the generative process to fit into breaks. We used a finetuned diffusion model with a template prompt to generate cohesive islands based off minimal user input.
Mixed Reality Tree Chat
Winner of the Digital Art Zurich Award, 2024.
Interaction: We gave a voice to 80,000 trees in Zurich to allow a dialogue between people and nature. People can browse a map of trees, select one to start a conversation, and ask about its history, thoughts, or perception, e.g. of the weather or season.
Tech: We built a web app that integrates Zurich's Open Data platform, current weather APIs, and a large language model with an extensive custom prompt to act as the selected tree.
GB Guestbook
Vintage Computer Festival, Zurich 2025
Interaction: Visitors took photos with original Game Boy Cameras (1998), add stickers, and upload them to our guestbook, social media, or printer.
Tech: We emulated the Game Boy Printer peripheral with open-source technology to upload photos and animate the decoding of the Game Boy's protocol. With Büro Destruct we built a web app serving as the festival's guestbook.
